    4. Tips for Cooking Braised Beef in Red Wine

To successfully prepare a delicious and enticing braised beef in red wine, these kitchen tips will be very helpful.

    Choosing the Beef

Prioritize selecting cuts like shoulder, short ribs, or beef chuck. These cuts often have a firm yet tender texture, ideal for braising. Particularly, shoulder beef is rich in fat, resulting in a fragrant and tender braised dish with a slightly crisp texture. For beef ribs, choose ribs 6-8 for delicious and tender meat. Braising chuck beef also yields a particularly flavorful and succulent result.

    Some Tips for Braising Beef

    • Avoid using cold water for braising beef as it can dry out the meat.
    • When marinating the meat, you can add cornstarch or beer/wine to make the meat tender and quicker to marinate. After marinating with beer for about 10 minutes, take the meat out, rinse it, and put it in a bowl to marinate with vegetables and wine.
    • When braising beef, add 1 teaspoon of sugar to help soften the meat quickly. When the meat is almost cooked, add a bit of salt and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to evenly distribute the salt.

Braised Beef in Red Wine is a nutritious and appealing dish, perfect for a change of taste. With the two recipes provided here, wish you success in preparing delicious and authentic braised beef.
