Turtle Island only emerges for three months each year

A small island floating on the Muodaoxi River in southwestern China suddenly becomes a hot spot for tourism in the spring, due to its resemblance to a turtle. The island is located in the middle of the Muodaoxi River flowing through Longshi village in Van Duong, Trung Khanh. In China, turtles are considered auspicious animals, symbolizing longevity.
